This study was part of a series. Primary notes have been filed with
ACT 1.
There's a need to review
the conditions that trigger the Scottish`esqueça & other intrusive tonals
discovered through Japanese.
zühul ~
this ♪[ü->u] vowel
pattern is a breech that irritates me a lot. Registers as foreign, eastern
& swinging towards south-east-Persian-flavour ...not
Arabic (but yeah). Tongue - carries significant
conflict. It wants to swim
♪[ü->ü]. example:
lütuf
-> lütüf
...another case of
misheard-approximation-effect, where it is very difficult for my ear to
hear specifics and the flixafluxamatosis(metathesis) will make me fling ->
lütfü.
Transcriptions, were approximations. When IPA is carrying the same
syndrome of non-uniform sound encoding with symbols, it's no different to
what happened with the adoption of Latin. It will still offer a lot of
valuable insight, but my plasticity needs to remain focussed on what
(is)was familiar & transparent for me.
Between Persian & Arabic,
there is a conflicting rift perceived. ♪(rl)
corridor also detected, in the event that something like
zühul
might've needed to travel towards something like
«zühüli(y)et»
«zuhâl`ıyat»
«zəhui[rl]et»
There's going to be other variations, along with semantic drift. My tongue
is prone to twisting through Arabic, while Persian errs towards
alternative through-ways that are more intimately comfortable in my mouth.
zühul->[?]->at
will trigger ♪(rl)
- i'm likely to hear the [L] as [R]. This is a side-note for needing to
track the ♪[ü->u] pattern ~ because my tongue's
not OK with it. It's a hard breach and I can't see-feel it as an Arabic
tone at all. When this happens, my brain usually experiences a form of;
«..breached -
this is foreign, but it doesn't register as Arabic, goto Persian ..BUT!!»
...but, in this sample, there is confusion, something-amiss - almost like
there's another 3rd, 4th or 5th party involved, happening in a hot spot of
cross-cultural exchange. It's a very knotty scrambler, so that's why I've
needed to tag the ♪[ü->u] vowel pattern.
Heavier/dedicated research is likely to reveal something interesting in
what caused this knot to form. Though this did need to break off as a
separate subject, the ♪[ü->u] isn't a
digression ~ it's a speciman that needed to get bagged along the way.
hewn -
yün ~ need to take note of
♪|h~y| - shaped
by the vowel form in the suffix`oidal -ün.
«sewn» is
pronounced differently to «strewn».
THOUGHTS:
Japanese is a wildly exciting portal that offers
multiple through-ways. It's a language that requires more dedicated
exploration. I deliberately chose
the advertising medium, because it's a pradigm I'm drawn towards. I like
how the medium tends to err towards hype (...and surreal ridicul`osity). I
see it as a good way to offer contrast, where I assume day-to-day
transactional language, would not be the same. I see that type of
communication contrast offering opportunity for objective (or diagnostic)
assesment. Scottish triangulation bridge detected.
CURIOUS`ER:
Wondering how much of this phenomena is caused by growing up with
Australian English vs ...I'm only perceiving the Scottish bridge through
the Türk`ish half of the language-processing. I feel it could be a
combination of BOTH--| [e.g - my
hearing & thoughts are processing in Türk`ish, but the physical spoken
word is still shaped by an AU-English voice. Speakers with other accents,
will produce unique sounds that will be different to me].
The Scottish`esque'ça is not registering as a dialect English. I'm hearing
it like a separate language, long before it started to mix with
English`esque'ça soundscapes. Interesting, how in the cases when this
happened, the English language-switch signal was
[OFF`ed]. I was
unconscious of it. There was no access to the English half while speaking,
yet the vocals still interjected with chaotic & intrusive accent swings.
Important to take note of that, because the
[OFF`ing] usually happens to the Türk`ish
half, due to English being my primary(dominant) language ...and this was a
case of the same phenomena happening, but in reverse.
