In October, a derailment occurred that needs tracking alongside other significant interruptions. Uptake resumed on 02 Nov 2021, but I faced another setback towards the time of working with Korean Porcelain. It's crucial to remain mindful of the Domestos Blue-Reds that attempted to intertwine with the Dress Code; this will be filed as a placeholder for further review & linking later. The wet season was amplified during this year. The humidity levels peaked & it marked the beginning of snake encroachment towards the house. For eight years, they had stayed away, usually hanging out near the creek, so this change in dynamics was alarming after such a long period of relative peace. I began to notice how the abnormal calls of magpies often signaled their proximity to the house. Their voices started to register as an alarm when I started to see them actively attacking the snakes. If I witness phenomena like that again in future, where there's a sudden influx of snakes arriving, it will indicate the approach of a severe La Niña, which will liquefy clay, create significant erosion of roads overnight & it will cause landslides. As for handling snakes in the bush, nobody knew how. There was no clear guidance. The dogma of how they were to be regarded with care, as though they were endangered creatures who needed to be protected - was incredibly mute compared to the number of road-kill samples that frequently decorated the roads like christmas. The gardener's method was to kill the snakes with a shovel. He left their carcasses draping on the fence to sun-dry but the wildlife would always take care of them overnight. The snakes were drawn to water, acting as a barometer that showed me how high & saturated the water table was on the land. I had to limit pressure cleaning of the pavers for winter after spotting the snakes in the yard. It was unsettling to discover how much snakes loved to hide in the nooks & crannies of the yard that I frequently needed to weed (often without gloves). However, once I learned about the environmental preferences of the snakes, it became easier to identify spots around the home that required more caution upon approach. Similar to redbacks, the snakes were mostly slothful sun-bakers; unlikely to attack, more likely a case of regrettable accidents such as «sorry for stepping on you, didn't know you were there». Common for people to sit on top of redbacks that love living underneath outdoor chairs. You can only spot that sort of thing, after you learn how to recognise the tactile quality of their hyper-sticky webs. If the presence of snakes had been the baseline norm at the beginning of my stay however, I wouldn't have lingered for as long as I did. I'll need to keep tabs on when the Fakın Mı Nedir got it/s first name. This one was a prelude that opened as a re-link event. Always judge a civilisation, by the standards of road maintenance that lead to your front door. If the cult is frequently strewn with potholes & severe washouts, they will never be capable of erecting anything remarkable. If you are hoping things would naturally improve, don't build or breed with them, when the land has already spoken otherwise.
