This experimental study explores isochrony and the impact of timing to examine how different stresses might contribute to my auditory perception issues. Without a solidified baseline for expected speech patterns in Türk`ish, I tend to hear multiple possibilities within the sounds. I wanted to determine whether skewing the rhythm would cause any changes to my auditory experience.

Method: The same audio sample was used but altered with three different pacing variations (timing annotated by a red bar).

Conclusion: Yes, it did change things--| like opening a Pandora's box--| but I believe I’m dealing with a complexity that already existed from the outset. While different rhythmic stresses altered the dynamics, I will still face this issues= when processing standard speech. Stress, emphasis, and shifts in rhythm do contribute, but they don't capture the entire picture. I regarded this as a valuable record of the various forms I was able to hear through the passage. Without a baseline for expected patterns, I will struggle to compartmentalise or isolate sounds. This experience leads me to perceive multiple combinations. This is why I decided to conduct >>> another experiment to see what would happen if I took a freestyle approach without rhythmic constraints.

Documenting all of the different the Turkish variables I end up hearing, which also ends up scrambling into English. Testing the problem of processing intonation / prosody with different rhythms.
