Cultural Echoes: The Influence of
{Guantanamera Noticing the unusual coherence when processing
«Guantanamera» I wanted to see if this phenomenon would recur with
another song in a similar language, so I chose «Bamboleo». This choice
also brought back memories of my Uruguayan neighbors, who gifted me the
«Gypsy Kings» album on cassette.
Patterns
of Coherence: Discovering Turkic Elements in {Bamboleo Once
again, I was surprised to find a similar pattern emerge, where the Turkic
elements told an intriguing story. Although the English translation was
more disjointed, it still conveyed moments of semantic delight for me,
which were relevant for the time this was made.
Harmonic Resonance: The Play of Homophones
I was intrigued by the homophone between “reign”
and “rain” which introduced an additional
harmonic that resembled “ring”.
A Different Drummer: Reflections Inspired by
Thoreau I heard the sound of another drummer, not falling to the
correct beat--| reminding me of a quote from my Dad's book
(On Parmağınıza On Lisan), from Henry David
Thoreau: «If a man does not keep pace with his
companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer». It
was just that section. I tagged that with the stamping Uludağ efsane.
Artistic Representation motif: the
crying kangaroo - redhead, a screwdriver, Uludağ efsane
Didn't enjoy the heavy disruption to my routine. Not
looking forward to the next interrupt around the corner from now, but it
should be a pleasantly hardcore reclusivist adventure when that's over.
I'm otherwise not a fan of really bad screws ..or blunt kitchen knives.
