This vocal study examines the prosody of Australian news anchors, which differs significantly from everyday conversational speech. It was challenging to achieve, due to the level of unnatural contortion it required to match the tone & pace, which felt akin to mastering a foreign language. It lacked the natural, relaxed quality of casual communication, which is why this piece was contrasted with everyday layperson speech and a brief segment in Turkish, which featured an Arabic reference toward the end. This piece was a cultural fusion, blending elements of Turkish and Australian popular culture into a single narrative.
