This document explores my efforts to address frustrations with a
dyslexia expert who inaccurately labeled language impairments as mental
health disorders, during a time when I needed to retain focus on my
language studies.

The poem was a critique on the misuse & misrepresentation of the term
«dys» & «this». It was a playful, yet critical examination of language and
authority, trying to challenge the validity of experts and their impact on
the understanding of language impairments.
There is more to the
poem's meaning, but I need to focus on structuring the spine of my
Himalayan epic. I'm currently stationed at point no.32, runing at
[the pace of a snail, travelling on hot concrete].
My ability to reach point no. 930+ feels so fargone and out of reach for
me at the moment. That's why I need to file and flag this into the
[please ask me about that later] bucket.
Other Notes : Typographic Exploration:
This piece also marks the beginning of my engagement with Cyrillic
typeforms. It was jarring for me to learn and I had a need to re-arrange
the characters into the [alphapolitical order]
i was brainwashed with as a kid.
The typography project aimed to
visualize the alphabet as a learning aid. I fell in love with watching how
the letters moved in 3D, because it accurately captured the experience of
what the alphabet scrambling feels like in my mind. It was just
breathtaking to see it materialise as a 3D-form I could manipulate and
examine from multiple angles. I am driven to untangle the scramble. The 3D
medium helps me see how that can be done.
It's important to note
this typographic work was a preliminary draft and not the final sheet I
work with today. It functioned well as a reference chart, which I printed
out and placed on the wall for frequent use in learning and deciphering.
It's also done a great job of capturing the state of my ordering-process
at the time, documenting the decisions and method of approach.
